Abriacahn Nurseries and Garden
Great views of the legendry Loch Ness and 3 acres of highland gardens
to explore make this a real breath of fresh air. You’ll find a
huge variety of unusual and beautiful plants here – many of which
are for sale. The perfect place to keep horticulturalists happy!
Brin Herb Nursery
The display gardens of this retail nursery show how many of the plants
offered for sale look when they mature, and give a range of planting
ideas. Although they are functional they do not pretend to be highly
manicured gardens as one might find in a municipal garden.
Bught Nursery @ Floral Hall
The Floral Hall and demonstration gardens are part of the Highland Council's
working Bught Nursery. There are a number of landscaped areas including
a rhododendron corner, herbaceous border, scree, alpine and heather beds,
along with a water garden. The Floral Hall is a fantastic Sub-tropical
landscape
Cawdor Castle
Cawdor has three gardens: The Walled gardens is the oldest dating from
1600 and became a kitchen garden. The flower garden designed for enjoyment
in late summer/autumn has had it's season extended to give pleasure
from early spring. The Wild garden planted in the 1960's is a shaggy
informal ramble of azaleas, rhododendrons, daffodils, primulas, willows
and bamboos.
